Gary L. King hits teenager on bicycle
On July 23, 2011, at about 8:00 p.m., Gary L. King struck a fourteen year old boy riding a bike with his car at the intersection of 36th Street and Gladstone Avenue, in Indianapolis, Indiana.
The boy, who was riding his bike along with a companion on another bike, allegedly ran a stop sign and made a turn onto 36th Street where he headed into the path of Mr. King’s vehicle, a Chevrolet Tahoe. The teen was seriously injured, and was taken to Methodist Hospital in serious but stable condition. His companion on the other bike was not injured in the accident.
It has been reported that Mr. King may have been intoxicated at the time of the accident. He has been preliminarily charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated causing serious bodily injury.
