At Starr Austen & Miller, LLP we are committed to providing our clients with professional legal services that are exemplary. That commitment will not be lessened as we navigate through these days of the novel Coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic. We have made some needed adjustments to our daily operations and are closely monitoring communications from federal, state, and local governments for the latest guidance, information and data concerning the Coronavirus.
We are taking the necessary precautions to ensure the well-being of our clients, attorneys, support staff and others. We have a Coronavirus Office Plan in place in order to maintain the high value service you expect. As directed by government officials, we are taking precautions to ensure that we do our part to prevent the spread of the virus. Several members of our team are working remotely. However, we do have essential attorneys and support staff at our offices Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m., as legal services are defined as an “Essential Business” under Governor Holcomb’s Executive Order 20-08 which allows our law firm’s continued operation. Particular processes in place include:
- Migrating meetings to phone or video conferences unless an in-person meeting is absolutely essential. This will last until further recommendations are made by the Centers for Disease Control and the World Health Organization. If you have an already scheduled deposition or mediation, please contact our office regarding possible scheduling changes.
- To encourage social distancing, we are asking all team members, clients and visitors that enter our building to remain six feet apart. We also have hand sanitizer available for use by those in the building.
- All non-essential work travel is discontinued.
- Our information security and teleworking devices ensure security measures are in place while work is being done outside of our office. Your privacy and safety are of utmost importance to us and we have the structure in place to protect our clients’ files and personal information.
We will continue to monitor the situation and communicate with our clients and team members as new information becomes available, and we will continue to provide our clients with the service you expect and deserve. Please continue to communicate with our office as you normally would. Our phones will still be answered, e-mails reviewed and responded to, and work delivered in a timely fashion. Our team is just as accessible and responsive as we have always been.
Thank you for your continued trust in our firm. We value our clients and are fully committed to serving each of you. Together, we will make it through these challenging times. If you have any questions or concerns, please call our office at 574-722-6676 or visit our website at starrausten.com.
